Fresh off a successful national tour, The Remember Balloons Live returns in 2026 with an all-new, expanded production—premiering in Akron, Ohio, where it was born.

Created by award-winning choreographer Dominic Moore-Dunson and acclaimed composer Theron Brown, this moving stage adaptation of the beloved children’s book blends original jazz, contemporary dance, and multimedia storytelling into a family-centered experience.

This new version features:

A 90-minute production
10 local jazz musicians and 10 string musicians
A new character, Dad, adding emotional depth
At its core, The Remember Balloons Live is a story for families navigating memory loss, especially Alzheimer’s and dementia. It honors caregivers, uplifts the voices of those living with memory challenges, and creates space for healing and connection across generations.

Now, we’re taking it to the screen.

In partnership with PBS Western Reserve, we’re filming this expanded version and submitting it for national PBS syndication—so families everywhere can experience its message of love, memory, and resilience.
